I so taking part in this. We need to let the governments UNDERSTAND that they don’t fucking own the Internet.

The founder and owner of MEGAUPLOAD, Kim Schmitz, is German and, from what I understand, lived and worked in the US for quite some time and when he appeared on the FBI’s radar, he basically hid in New Zealand, where he felt safe being outside of US jurisdiction, living like a bloody king. He is known for money laundering and embezzlement and was already convicted in the early 2000’s. I’d rather not see him idolized as a martyr of some kind. We ought to be more concerned about people like 23-year-old student Richard O’Dwyer.
