Dutch Sprinkle Sandwiches are life. :D
I never know why everyone else goes nuts for the boring chocolate sprinkles whenever we’re in the Netherlands. VRUCHTENHAGEL IS DA SHIT! (I do like to put it on top a chocolate spread, though…)

“Rice dyed with beet water & filled with yam, asparagus, and beet. On a bed of avocado wasabi mayo.”
AVOCADO WASABI MAYO??? THAT SOUNDS LIKE THE CONDIMENT OF THE GAWDS!

change the world!
I’m moving soon and one of the requirements of my next home is garden space.
I’m considering to start a little guerilla-gardening project on our unused roof. Unfortunately it’s a little hard to get stuff up there with only one very long and very shaky wooden ladder.

Todmorden: A town where greenthumbs, not sticky fingers, prevail
The Daily Mail pays a visit to Todmorden, a quaint British town that’s littered with raised vegetable and herb gardens where residents can grow — and take — whatever they fancy. The ethnically and economically diverse mill town of about 15,000 residents is home to Incredible Edible, an ambitious, agrarian-minded scheme that’s brought together an entire community under one common goal: to become completely self-sufficient in food by the year 2018.
Only very recently did I talk to my good friend Katja about how amazing it would be to really start living off of local, seasonal and organic produce and learning better ways to preserve food over the winter months to become self-sufficient … and then I see this. Perfect! I hope this can be a project model for many more places.
Foods that appeared in Ghibli movies, recreated in real life.
Nothing in there for the plant-eater, but still a cool idea, I think.
Homemade Antipasti (by The Infatuated)
I was too lazy to check for recipes, so I just improvised and now I have no idea if they’re any good. They certainly look delicious!
